Over Stuff'd Avocado Recipe

Here is a delicious and healthy lunch or snack idea for yourself or for the kids (if you have them) to eat to keep healthy, watch your figure or make to take with you to a day on set! Avocado is one of the best foods for you and this tuna/avocado mix recipe is to die for!

Ingredients:
1 medium Avocado
3 oz. can tuna, drained
1/4 cup each: green pepper, red onion, cucumber - all diced
1/3 cup nonfat greek yogurt, plain
1 tsp dijon mustard
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp each: sea salt
1 packet sweetener (i.e. Splenda or stevia)
1/4 cup fresh orange sections, diced

How to Prepare:
1. Slice Avocado in half, lengthwise (be careful of the pit, it’s big!) Split open and remove the bit.
2. Scoop out the center of the avocado, leaving about ¼ inch of the fruit all around, and put the scooped out fruit into a bowl. Set the halves aside.
3. Add tuna, pepper, onion, cucumber yogurt, mustard, lemon juice, salt and sweetener to the bowl with the scooped out avocado. Mix all ingredients until very well blended.
4. Add orange sections and mix gently.
5. Scoop half of the mix into each of the Avocado halves.
6. Put in refrigerator for approximately 10 minutes to slightly chill. (Or wait to take them out until you’re ready to leave for your picnic!)
7. Grab a spoon and eat up! Yum. Enjoy!

Delicious Tomato, Cheese Sandwich

Here is a healthy treat you can make yourself or for the kids as a great lunch or afternoon snack to take with you to a go-see or casting. Treat yourself - this is healthy, but don’t eat it everyday as it still has cheese in it. It’s all about moderation however this is a great quick sandwich to take with you on-the-go.

Ingredients:
Whole grain bread
Low-fat Mozzarella cheese sliced thick
Tomato slices
White onion slices
Turkey Bacon (optional)
Green onions cut up

Directions:
Put slices of thick mozzarella on bread and put in the oven on broil. Watch it (won’t take long) until nice and slightly brown on top and melted. Make sure cheese is melted. (Nothing is worse than almost melted cheese.) Add bacon and sliced tomatoes, white onion and green onions.

Serve with a small side salad with ranch dressing. Perfect lunch or snack.

(Avoid eating this for dinner. Keep dinner light.)

How-To Get Rid of Cellulite

Cellulite is extremely common and almost every woman has it somewhere! It's completely normal, but if you want to diminish or try to rid yourself of it AND get super smooth skin then THIS STUFF WORKS WONDERS. Being in the entertainment business we are concerned about our appearances and as models or actresses having little or no cellulite is a big asset so if you have any this is a great way to help rid yourself of it, or if you don't, just to get nice smooth skin.

This coffee-sugar scrub helps remove cellulite and makes skin irresistibly soft! Just 2 cups of ground coffee, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, and 2 tbsp of olive oil.

Matching Lips and Nails are BACK!

Recently the trend of having matching lips and nails has made a come back. Brands are releasing lip and nail combos in matching shades so you can follow the trend and look fabulous. It makes life a little easier buying both to match perfectly, however you could easily take your favourite lipstick with you to the store to find a matching nail polish.

This trend looks classy and is great to wear to a casting or go-see so that you match and are in trend. Red is a classic example, however you can do the same with nude nail/lips so that you're as neutral as possible at a go-see since casting director's want to see you as plain as possible for a job modelling. This trend is also great to wear for a night out with your friends and/or family!

Gluten Free, Vegan, Sugar-Free Strawberry Muffins

Here is an amazing and healthy recipe that tastes great and would be perfect to bring with you for a day on set or a snack for the car on the way to the set or a go-see.

Dry Ingredients:
- 1 cup Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp xanthan gum
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 generous pinch of nutmeg
- 1/3 cup stevia

Wet Ingredients:
- ¼ cup coconut oil (melted)
- ½ cup almond milk
- 1 tbsp apple sauce
- 6–8 large strawberries (chopped)

Directions:
- Set the oven to 350ºF.
- Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Add the wet ingredients except the strawberries. If the mixture is a little too dry, add more almond milk or apple sauce. Mix it up with a spatula — or your hand. It works best if the consistency is in between a cake batter and a pancake batter.
- Add the strawberries.
- Use ¼ cup of batter per muffin cup.
- Bake for 20 minutes in total, (suggested) turn your pan 180 degrees every seven minutes or so to get an even bake.
- Eat standing up. It feels good like that.

Yields seven to eight cupcakes.

Zucchini Flaxseed Banana Muffins

Here is a great recipe that tastes amazing but is extremely healthy for you! We tested these out in the office a couple weeks ago and they were a hit with everyone. They are moist, healthy and so easy to make. If you want to bake some muffins to take with you to casting's or for day's on set or even a quick snack for the road in the morning these are perfect!

Ingredients:

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
  • 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1 cup lightly packed stevia* or organic sugar*
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups coarsely grated zucchini (from 1 large zucchini)
  • 2 mashed ripe banana
  • 3/4 cup vanilla almond milk*
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

    * = changes to the recipe

    How to Bake:

    1.  Step 1:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly coat 12 standard muffin cups with cooking spray. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, flaxseed, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Add zucchini and banana and stir to combine. In a small bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and vanilla. Add milk mixture to flour mixture and stir until combined (do not overmix).
    2.  Step 2:

Divide batter among muffin cups. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes. Let muffins cool completely in pan on a wire rack, about 30 minutes.

Cook's Note: Fresh zucchini and ripe banana add moisture to these muffins, ensuring they are soft and tender but low in fat.
